COOLVILLE — Dorothy Mae Jeffers, 91, of Coolville, loving mother and homemaker, passed away Friday, April 30, 2010, at her daughter’s residence in Little Hocking.

Born Nov. 9, 1918, in Pome-roy, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Rosa Buck Bowers. She was a member of White’s Chapel Church.

She is survived by seven children, Don (Janet) Jeffers, Lorene Cox, Virgene (Larry) Russell, June (Larry) James, Arrah (Charles) Buck, Homer Vernon Jeffers and Michael (Regina) Jeffers; a sister, Millie Jenne; 34 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Jeffers; two brothers, Buster and Clair; five sisters, Gladys, Katherine, Nora, Rachel and Clarice; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Jeffers; three sons-in-law, Andy Anderson, Lawrence Misner and Cecil Cox; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Sunday, 2 p.m., at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, with the Revs. Charles Martindale and Phil Ridenour officiating. Burial will be in Carthage Cemetery.
