To six outstanding girls basketball players from Athens County to have made the All-Ohio team: Laura Manderick (Athens), Rachel Richardson (Alexander), McKena Rice (Alexander), Mary-Kate McCulloch (Nelsonville-York), Jayne Six (Trimble) and Paige Tolson (Federal Hocking).

To a report of Logan’s mayor and other city officials working to oppose a medical marijuana dispensary from opening in town. The Logan Daily News reported that CannAscend was approved a state license to open a dispensary in Logan, but a City Council ordinance is prohibiting the dispensary from operation. Logan officials should follow the state law, not impose their own views of the medical marijuana issue.
