Scott Dawley

Fallen officer, Scott R. Dawley, of the Nelsonville Police Department was honored, Thursday, by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and the Ohio Peace Officer’s Training Commission.

Dawley was killed in three-vehicle accident while responding to call of “shots fired” last August. His cruiser collided with a pair of other vehicles at the intersection of East Canal Street and Hocking Street. Dawley was life flighted to O’Bleness Hospital where he died from injuries suffered in the collision.

This year’s Fallen Officers Memorial Wall was held at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy. in London, Ohio.
