Four students received $1,000 Octa Gillogly Memorial Scholarships this year.

The scholarship requires students be a descendant of a person that graduated from Albany High School, which was consolidated into Alexander Local School district in 1966. The scholarships will be presented during the annual Albany Alumni Banquet on May 25, at 6 p.m. in the Alexander School Cafeterium.

Josie Donohue is graduating from Meigs High School. She is the daughter of William and Shane Donohue and the granddaughter of Gary Mosure, a 1965 graduate of Albany.

David Douglas is an Alexander graduate. He is the son of Russell and Stacy Douglas, and the great-grandson of Doris Perry Brooks, a graduate of Albany in 1949.

Mark Patterson, son of Michael and Cinnamon Patterson, stationed in Italy, and grandson of Mary E. Staneart Patterson, a 1956 Albany graduate.

Kameron Riley is an Alexander graduate. He is the son of Roger and April Riley, and grandson of Marcile Bailey Riley, a 1943 graduate of Albany.
