Athens County High Water report, as of 10 a.m. May 20:
- Route 550, between Route 690 and Route 329 (closed)
- Route 550, between east Route 329 and Route 377 (closed)
- County Road 34 (Dutch Creek), from Route 690 to Pete Smith Road (closed)
In addition, the National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a flood Warning for Central Athens County in southeastern Ohio, as well as southwestern Morgan County and southwestern Washington County until 1:45 p.m.
"As of 9:09 a.m., persistent rainfall across the warned area is resulting in water rises along many creeks and streams, as well as flooding across some roadways," the Service warned. "Flood waters will likely remain high through midday."
Some locations that will experience flooding include Athens, Glouster, Chesterhill, Chauncey, Jacksonville, Trimble, Amesville, Bartlett and The Plains.
