This year, alumni will gather during Ohio University’s Homecoming in celebration of the very ground they walked on as students of Ohio University. Homecoming 2015 is scheduled for the week of Oct. 5-10, and the theme for the week’s festivities is “Same Bricks, Different Stories.”

Students and alumni are invited to submit their original designs for the event logo that will be used throughout Homecoming Week as a symbol to bring Bobcats together. Submissions must be delivered to or the Konneker Alumni Center in the form of a 300 dpi .ai, .pdf or .jpeg file by March 11 to be considered. The logo that is selected will earn the designer a $100 valued OU gift.

“We had over 1,800 responses to our survey,” said Dawn Werry, director of external relations for the Alumni Association. “‘Same Bricks, Different Stories’ won with 32.63 percent of the votes, and now that we have our theme we are excited to starting putting things in motion for Homecoming 2015.”

An iconic symbol of OU tradition and charm, the Athens engraved brick is a token of OU’s history. No matter your graduation year, all alumni have strolled through college green or stayed out late uptown, and those bricks have seen it all.
