Three Things to Know - 12/08/22

Holiday Bazaar 2022 will be happening at The Dairy Barn Arts Center, located at 8000 Dairy Lane, Athens, on Friday, Dec. 9, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Presented by The Dairy Barn Arts Center, this event will feature the works of forty different vendors, art activities, a raffle and a hot cocoa bar.

Admission to this event is free and open to the public.

Christmas Story Telling, Music Set

Athens Community Christmas Story Telling and Tunes will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at 7795 Lemaster Road, The Plains, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building.

The event includes Christmas hymns and a reading of the Christmas story from the Bible.

Teddy Bear Toss Planned for Saturday Night

During Saturday night’s final hockey game of the calendar year against Kent State, the Ohio Hockey Blueline Boosters are asking all who attend to bring a plushie to throw them when the Cats score their first goal. Animals collected are donated to the Athens County Children’s Services (ACCS) and they will distribute them for the holidays. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. at Bird Arena. For more details, see Page B2.
