Athens - Mary M. Hudnall, age 79, of Athens died Monday, Feb. 20, 2023 at her home. Born Dec. 21, 1943 in Sandusky, she was the daughter of the late James C. Gates & Maymie Bartlett Gates.
A graduate of Athens High School, she had been employed at McHappy's Bake Shoppe on Richland Ave. for several years. She had also been employed at the 7-Up Pepsi Bottling Plant and Ambassador Laundries. She enjoyed her family, cooking, scratch-offs and playing Solitaire on her iphone.
Mary is survived by her husband of 49 years, Raymond E. Hudnall; a daughter, Kimberly Gates; four grandchildren, Jesse Gates, Cory (Carrie) Gates, Timothy (Carol-Ann) Parsons and Brandy (Corey) Stewart; three great grandchildren, Gage Gates, Evelynn Steward, Rose Stewart and a great grandchild on the way, C.J.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
