1:45 a.m., Union Street — A citation was issued to Kyle R. Horner for a stop sign violation and operating a vehicle under the influence.

11:03 p.m., West Green Drive — A property damage accident charge was issued to Danielle K. Baston for operating a vehicle under the influence and failure to control. She was transported to Southeast Ohio Regional Jail.

Saturday, June 22

12:08 a.m., Edwards Accelerator Lab — Maya C. Price was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication, resisting arrest and criminal mischief. She was transported to regional jail.

Sunday, June 23

2:02 a.m., off campus — Joshua Hall was issued a citation for disorderly conduct by intoxication.

Friday, June 21

1:55 a.m., New Marshfield — Deputies were called to Del Carbo Road in Nelsonville for a report of a theft in progress. The caller stated that two males were breaking the windows to his van and stealing his tools. Deputies arrived on scene an observed one male fleeing the scene. The other male was located hiding under some objects in the backyard. Bryan Martin, age 42, of Pomeroy, was arrested and charged with theft and criminal damaging. Martin was transported to regional jail without further incident.

9:05 a.m., Athens — Deputies were dispatched to Salem Road for a burglary report. Deputies spoke with the complainant and a statement was taken. This matter is under investigation.

9:53 a.m., Athens — Deputies took a report of a Frontier Communications box at the intersection of Bittersweet Lane and Radford Road that had been shot with bird shot from a shot gun. Photographs were taken of the damage to the communications box and surrounding conduit. At this time, the suspects are unknown. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the office at 740-593-6633.

7:11 p.m., Glouster — The sheriff’s office responded to Route 78 in Glouster on a report of an open door. Deputies checked the abandoned home, which appeared to have been ransacked. Deputies are attempting to make contact with a possible suspect.

7:27 p.m., Guysville — The sheriff’s office responded to Hogue Hollow Road in Guysville for a report of dispute. The complainant stated that her son had hit her in the face during an argument. The suspect fled prior to deputy’s arrival. When deputies were attempting contact with the suspect, they came in contact with a male who had an active warrant out of Athens County. Travis Noble, age 25, of Guysville, was arrested and transported to regional jail without incident. Contact with the original male in this incident will be pursued.

10:01 p.m., Route 33 — Ryder Wehr, age 26, of Athens, was arrested by the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office on four Athens Municipal Court warrants. Wehr was picked up at the county line and transported to regional jail.

Saturday, June 22

8:22 a.m., New Marshfield — Deputies received a call regarding a tan Honda Civic that was found in a soybean field on Marshfield Road. The reporting deputy located the vehicle and found the front passenger side window had been busted out. The owner of the vehicle and property was contacted and he advised he had gotten the car stuck a couple days prior. The owner stated that as of the night prior, the window had not been busted out. It was found that several power tools and tool bags containing an assortment of tools had been taken from the vehicle. 10:39 a.m., Athens — Deputies were dispatched to Mush Run Road for an inactive theft report. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant. A report was taken, and this matter is under investigation

9:40 p.m., Route 32 — Hunter Hill, age 23, of Jackson, was arrested on a Athens County Common Pleas Court warrant for grand theft of a motor vehicle by the Jackson Police Department. Hill was transported from the county line to regional jail.

Sunday, June 23

11:31 a.m., The Plains — The Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on Route 33 near The Plains. Criminal indicators were observed, and deputies obtained consent to search. Suspected methamphetamine and prescription narcotics were recovered. Charges are expected pending lab results.

12:51 p.m., Chauncey — Deputies responded to the Marathon Gas Station in Chauncey in reference to a counterfeit $20 bill that was used to purchase cigarettes. Employees advised they observed who the two female subjects were that used the money. This case is currently under investigation.

4:26 p.m., The Plains — The Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in The Plains. Deputies were aware that the driver of the vehicle had a suspended license. Upon contact with the driver, Floyd Mash, he also showed active warrants for his arrest from Ohio State Highway Patrol. Mash was then placed under arrest and transported to regional jail without further incident.

6:05 p.m., Athens — Deputies met with the Racine Police Department at the county line in reference to a female they had picked up with warrants out of Athens County. Danielle Dalton, age 26, of Albany, was transported to regional jail without incident.

6:31 p.m., Nelsonville — The Criminal Interdiction Unit was patrolling the Nelsonville area and observed what they believe was a hand-to-hand drug transaction. Upon making contact with the woman, she denied any transaction occurred. Consent to search her purse was gained. Drug paraphernalia was located along with a substance consistent with methamphetamine. These items were collected as evidence. Charges are expected pending lab results.
