Monday, June 3

2:33 p.m., Carriage Hill — A student reported that five $100 bills were taken from her wallet. A report was taken.

Tuesday, June 4

2:39 p.m., Palmer Street — David Starr called to report a burglary that took place sometime between 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 2 and June 4.

3:37 p.m., University Estates — A city worker reported that the fence around the University Estates water tower had been damaged.

Athens County Sheriff’s Office:

Tuesday, June 4

10:56 a.m., Chauncey — Deputies were dispatched to the Chauncey Post Office where a vehicle struck the building. Minor damage to the building and vehicle occurred. No injuries were reported.

11:05 p.m., The Plains — The sheriff’s office responded to a possible robbery on North Clinton Street in The Plains. The complainant stated a man approached his residence demanding his wallet and keys. The male fled on foot after failing to get any property. Deputies patrolled the area but did not locate any subjects.
