3:26 p.m., East State Street — Bobbi Workman reported that the catalytic converter on her vehicle was stolen while it was parked at The Market on State. A report was taken.

Athens County Sheriff’s Office:

Wednesday, June 19

8:15 a.m., The Plains — Deputies were dispatched to West First Street in The Plains for a theft report. Deputies spoke with the complainant and a report was taken.

4:05 p.m., Glouster — The sheriff’s office received a report of a 1997 black Honda CBR 1100 SX, license EGM67, stolen from Antle Orchard Road in Glouster. Those with any information should contact the sheriff’s office at 740-593-6633.

9:33 p.m., Nelsonville — Deputies responded to Route 691 for a report of suspicious people walking on the roadway. A woman was identified as Melissa Chesser, age 39, of Pomeroy. Chesser was arrested pursuant to multiple active warrants and transported to the regional jail without incident.

10:10 p.m., Guysville — A Circle Drive resident in Guysville reported their residence had been broken into and numerous items were taken. This case is currently under investigation.

Wednesday, June 19

11:50 a.m., Richland Avenue — Faisal Alakeel taken into custody in reference to an Athens Municipal Court warrant.
