WAVERLY — The Post 21 senior legion baseball team suffered a 5-0 loss at Waverly on Tuesday.

Post 21’s offense was held in check, as Waverly’s Eblin tossed a seven-inning no-hitter.

Eblin stuck out five and didn’t walk a batter. He hit two batters for Athens’ only baserunners of the game.

Cameron Bayha was hit by a pitch to start the second inning, and he stole second base.

Dalton Skinner was hit by a pitch with one out in the fourth inning, and he also stole second base.

However, Post 21 never got a runner to third base in the game, as Eblin retired the final 11 batters. He needed 65 pitchers for the complete game.

Skinner took the loss for Post 21. He gave up five runs — one earned — on nine hits and two walks. He struck out two.

Waverly scored two runs in the first and three more in the second for its five runs.

Athens falls to 2-7 on the season.
