False Alarm

It was a routine fire drill at the Francine C. Childs Early Learning Center in The Plains. The plan was to have the fire alarm go off and escort the kids outside so that the routine would be familiar if a real fire were to happen. Everything went well until the staff realized they didn’t inform The Plains Fire Department about the drill. The fire engine quickly arrived on the scene to find no fire. Apologies were made and accepted. Then, not to make a wasted trip, the crew from The Plains Fire Department gave a mini tour of the fire engine to the excited group of kids.
