Gun Safety Forum sparks discussion

The campaign team of presidential hopeful hosted a community discussion on gun safety Thursday evening in Athens. The event, held at the Athens Democratic Headquarters on East State Street, was sparsely attended, but was quite lively. Two of the attendees were 2nd Amendment advocates. They came prepared with facts and figures about American’s right to bear arms. The discussion was very contentious at first, but as the talk continued participants agreed on several points while still differing on others. By the end of the evening everyone was smiling and shaking hands. A good time was had by all.
