Throwback Thursday

The Berry Hotel on Court Street was located where the Court Street Diner stands today. From its early days (it was opened in 1893) the hotel was known for its excellent cuisine and its first class service. In the 1940s, many Big Bands played in the ballroom. At one point Ohio University used it as dormitories. The building was demolished in 1974.
